Produce

We sell our produce at Lewes Farmers Market and from the farm gate by prior arrangement.

Our small flock of Shetland sheep, which are a slow growing breed.   They live on permanant pasture in Hamsey, which offers a 'carbon sink'.  Their grazing maintains natures' diversity.  Our sheep provide delicious meat and lovely wool.  The meat, hogget, is from one to two year old sheep.  It is high in omega oils from living on pasture, low in saturated fats because they are a primitive sheep, storing their fat around their internal organs. The sheep are not given supplementary feed, so the meat is best available from late Spring to Christmas.

Whole, half hogget, or individual joints, chops, diced, mince, home made burgers and sausages are available.

Our Shetland sheep are slow growing and we keep them for several years. The meat has distinct flavour, is high in omega oils, low in saturated fats. They have fine bones which means they have more meat to bone ratio than commercial sheep.
